I often find myself in coastal destinations despite living on an island and on a National Park, they are still on the top of my travel list. Nearly every island I have visited has been different from Hatteras in terms of geology, environment, food, houses, etc. But we all have something in common - seafood and flooding. My first trip to the Gulf of Mexico coast was truly exciting and new - the best blue crab dish I have ever had plus the highest houses I'd ever seen.
